The health insurance industry is constantly changing and for 2026 the rates have drastically increased for many. Additionally, there are fewer options overall, many with higher out of pocket costs. We recommend plans that have office visits covered with a smaller copay before the deductible, so at least some coverage is available right away.
The carriers we typically suggest in Michigan are Blue Cross and Priority Health. To view plans, receive rates and to apply, click on the links below. Dental and vision coverage can also be obtained through each of these carriers.
Federal government subsidies to help pay the premium are still available to many family, but a quote is required to determine eligibility and the amount.

- Marketplace and Off Marketplace Individual health Insurance
For affordability, there are Short Term medical plans available at a much lower cost that will offer coverage, typically for illness and injury. The downside to Short Term plans is that they are only good for four to six months and are typically do have several chronic illness and health factors that would result in application denial. Once in a Short Term plan, if a serious medical condition arises, a new Short Term plan will be denied at renewal and the only new plan available would be a traditional plan effective January 1st of the following year.
